I have just returned from a fantastic weeks fishing in France - the 4 Custom Built Torrix rods that you made for me are 'awesome'.
I have owned all the so-called 'best' makes of carp rods available in the UK over the past 30 years, and I will tell you that my Custom Built TORRIX rods are the finest casting, fish playing rods available - in my opinion - anywhere in the world.
You have built me 2 (2.5lbs) for short range fishing and 2 (3.25lbs) for long range fishing - and they performed as expected - perfect in every department.

Yes, cane rod arrived yesterday and
looks mighty fine. Thanks. Just in
time too as the waters are fining down here at last.
Could have done with the rod on
Monday. I fish the River Ecclesbourne
which in places is only 6' - 8' across. I gave it a go as the water had
dropped enough and nymphed a "humping" fish. This turned out to be the
best brown I've had from the river - about 16" long, in perfect
condition. Not much smaller than my best from the River Derwent. Photo
attached, caught with the rod you are familiar with!

Three Mirrors in total, (19lb 11oz,
18lb 03 & 23lb 05oz), all caught on my right hand rod, (No.3).

Rod is beautiful when playing a fish. I'm really pleased with them and

time too as the waters are fining down here at last.
Could have done with the rod on
Monday. I fish the River Ecclesbourne
which in places is only 6' - 8' across. I gave it a go as the water had
dropped enough and nymphed a "humping" fish. This turned out to be the
best brown I've had from the river - about 16" long, in perfect
condition. Not much smaller than my best from the River Derwent. Photo
attached, caught with the rod you are familiar with!

I collected my new Custom Built Torrix barbel rod today and am very, very pleased with it - I am so happy with MY choice of fittings and trim - to compliment the 'green coloured blanks' - something different to the usual grey coloured rods available in the tackle shops.

Yes, cane rod arrived yesterday and looks mighty fine. Thanks. Just in time too as the waters are fining down here at last.
Could have done with the rod on Monday. I fish the River Ecclesbourne which in places is only 6' - 8' across. I gave it a go as the water had dropped enough and nymphed a "humping" fish. This turned out to be the best brown I've had from the river - about 16" long, in perfect condition. Not much smaller than my best from the River Derwent. Photo attached, caught with the rod you are familiar with!

Not the largest fish in the lake, (19lbs 11 oz), but the first to be captured using Colin Leatherbarrow's Custom Built Fishing Rods, (See attached photo).
Three Mirrors in total, (19lb 11oz, 18lb 03 & 23lb 05oz), all caught on my right hand rod, (No.3).
I attach some photos of your Rods, (Taken for my own Insurance purposes), which I hope you find interesting.
The Rod is beautiful when playing a fish. I'm really pleased with them and already I have had several Carpers admiring them. My reply has been, "Colin Leatherbarrow, Custom Built Fishing Rods, Urmston, Manchester - Would you like his details", and I hand them your "Visiting Card". (Can you afford to send me a few more as they've all gone?).
